  • History and tradition

    Thomas Jefferson High School, usually referred to as Jefferson High School, is the fourth oldest high school in LAUSD. Located in South Los Angeles, its surrounding communities are Downtown, Florence, Historic South-Central and South Park. Jefferson's school colors are Kelly Green and Gold and the sports teams are called the Democrats or Demos for short. The Mascot is a man dressed in an outfit that was worn by Politician’s during the earlier time period of this country.

    Our most essential fund. When you give to the Thomas Jefferson High School General Fund, you support the school’s most immediate needs and promote the success of our students. 
    When you give to the Thomas Jefferson High School General Fund, you’re making an “unrestricted gift.” That means you’re allowing the Thomas Jefferson Alumni Association to channel your gift in ways that most directly and effectively help our students right now.
    The fund supports many of our key priorities — scholarships, mission, academics, programs, research, anything and everything that drives the ‘JEFF’ experience for our tremendous students.
